Woodworking

My woodworking adventure started by making simple furniture to fit the odd spaces in our 100 yr. old house.  I found designing and making pieces for myself quite satisfying.  It challenged me creatively, mentally, and physically.  In the end there’s something to show for the effort.

Over the last 4 years, my tastes and self-expectations have been refined (note that I’m not showing early pieces here).  My work method has also developed into a path that mostly uses hand tools for joinery.  A recent renaissance in the woodworking community for using hand tools has provided insights into the efficiencies of traditional furniture making.  Fortunate for those of us who are interested in this method, high quality hand tool companies have emerged to make traditional tools with modern precision.
